Winterlude Symposium, who we are, and our history ...
The Winterlude Anesthesia Symposium is a national annual meeting held every year in February during Ottawa�s world renowned Winterlude activities. The meeting was held for the first time in 1994 and targeted academic and community-based anesthesiologists from across the city. Since then, the meeting has continued to grow and to attract anesthesiologists from across Canada, but especially from Ontario and Quebec. In 2005 the focus of the meeting shifted to perioperative medicine.

Traditionally, the meeting has been held at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, but in 2007 the meeting moved to a new venue - Westin Hotel at the heart of Ottawa downtown. This year's meeting also takes place at the Westin Hotel.

We have been fortunate to have well known local, national, and international speakers attending the Winterlude Anesthesia Symposiums. This year, we are pleased to celebrate our 16th Annual Winterlude Anesthesia Symposium and 40th Anniversary of the Ottawa Anesthesiology Training Program.
