In
pursuit of it's goals of excellence in clinical care, teaching, and
research, the Department of Anesthesia of the Ottawa Hospital has developed
subspecialty areas within the department. The department members have the
expertise to offer subspecialty fellowship training in selected areas.
Clinical fellowships include Regional Anesthesia, Perioperative Medicine, Obstetric Anesthesia,
Chronic Pain Management, Thoracic and Vascular Anesthesia including TEE
training, and Pediatric Anesthesia. There is protected time for research. Applicants must be eligible
for Canadian certification, American Board eligible, or hold equivalent
specialty certification in Anesthesia from another country.
